Question: When will the EA Exam start testing 2012 tax law?
Answer: Beginning May 1 of each year the EA Exam will test the previous year’s tax laws. Gleim typically releases a new edition of EA Review a couple months before the new laws are tested. Those tax laws will be covered through the last day of the testing window, which is February 28 of the following year. Once the 10-month testing window reopens May 1, 2013 the exam will test 2012 tax laws. The 2012 tax laws will continue to be tested throughout January and February of 2014.
